Product Overview
The 260W Split-Type High-Power Laser Ignition System is a professional 915nm laser ignition solution designed for laboratory research, combustion experiments, and industrial ignition testing. Powered by a MAX Photonics laser source, it features a split-type design with a separate 48V rechargeable battery pack, wireless remote control, manually adjustable focus, and a non-coaxial green aiming laser for precise ignition positioning.
The split-type configuration reduces the weight of the handheld unit while providing greater flexibility for battery charging, replacement, transportation, and extended field operation. Its high-power laser output enables reliable, non-contact ignition performance for controlled testing and research environments.
This laser ignition system is suitable for combustion research, laser ignition experiments, engine ignition testing, hydrogen and alternative fuel research, flame propagation studies, industrial burner testing, and other authorized scientific, engineering, and laboratory applications.

Key Features
260W Optical Output
The system delivers up to 260W optical output power with approximately 470W electrical power consumption, providing a concentrated 915nm laser beam for reliable, non-contact ignition in controlled research and testing environments.
MAX Photonics Laser Source
The device uses a MAX Photonics laser source, offering stable optical output and integrated Chinese laser-core technology.
Split-Type Battery Design
The main laser unit and battery pack are separated, offering several practical advantages:
- Reduced weight on the main unit
- Easier battery charging and replacement
- More convenient storage and transportation
- Improved flexibility for tripod-mounted operation
- Easier preparation of backup battery packs
The battery is rated at 48V, 12Ah and weighs approximately 3.25kg.
Wireless Remote Control
The laser output is controlled using a wireless remote switch, allowing the operator to activate the system from a safer and more stable position.
Non-Coaxial Green Aiming Light
The auxiliary green aiming light is mounted separately from the main 915nm laser output.
Because the aiming light and main beam are not coaxial, their relative positions change slightly according to distance. The aiming alignment should therefore be checked and adjusted for the intended working distance before use.
Manual Focus Adjustment
The laser focus must be manually adjusted according to the operating distance. Correct focusing is important for achieving a concentrated and stable optical spot.
45°C Thermal Protection
The device includes an internal thermal-protection system. When the operating temperature reaches approximately 45°C, the system automatically cuts power to protect the internal components.

How the Non-Coaxial Aiming System Works
The green aiming light and the main 915nm laser beam travel along two separate optical paths.
For preliminary alignment, the two spots should be checked on a suitable non-reflective test surface at the intended operating distance. Since the aiming light is not coaxial with the main beam, the spacing between the two spots may change when the distance changes.
The aiming system is intended only as a visual reference and should not be treated as a precision rangefinder or automatic targeting system.
Thermal Protection and Runtime
The device is designed for intermittent operation.
In warm summer conditions, a fully cooled unit may operate for approximately 30–40 seconds, with a normal variation of around five seconds.
In cooler winter conditions, the operating time may increase by approximately 10 seconds.
When the internal temperature reaches approximately 45°C, the protection system automatically shuts down the output. The device must cool sufficiently before operation can resume.
For improved service life and thermal stability, use shorter activation periods rather than continuously operating until thermal shutdown.

Important Safety Information
The 260W High-Power Laser Ignition System is intended for professional laboratory, research, engineering, and authorized industrial applications only. This equipment must be operated only by trained adults who understand laser safety and ignition procedures.
- Never point the laser toward people or animals.
- Never direct the beam toward aircraft, vehicles, roads, buildings, windows, or public areas.
- Use the laser ignition system only in controlled environments with appropriate safety measures.
- Keep flammable or combustible materials away from the beam path unless they are the intended test materials for a controlled ignition experiment.
- Always use a secure, non-reflective beam stop and maintain a safe working area.
- Wear laser safety eyewear that is certified for the operating wavelength and appropriate optical density. Protective eyewear reduces risk but does not make direct beam exposure safe.
- Mount the laser ignition system securely on a stable tripod or fixed platform before operation.
- Ensure all personnel remain outside the beam path and ignition test area during operation.
- Keep the device out of the reach of children and unauthorized users.
- Always comply with applicable local laws and regulations regarding the purchase, possession, transportation, and operation of high-power laser equipment.
- The purchaser and operator are solely responsible for safe operation, legal compliance, and ensuring that the equipment is used only for lawful scientific, research, engineering, or industrial purposes.
