The laser is still dangerous if it hits the skin. Although most are not very sensitive to light if the laser intensity is high enough it may cut or penetrate the skin, causing a wound. And care should be taken with lasers in the UV range. Because the light in this range can cause changes in cell structure, which can lead to cancer. It is therefore important to wear eye protection.

No one wants to look directly into a laser beam, but lasers can get into our eyes. What we did not expect, such as caused by reflections or moments we cannot see, can therefore be prevented as follows.

1. Arrange the light path appropriately, eg not at eye level. (preferably above or below the eye) Try to exclude anything that could cause the laser to accidentally enter the eye.

2. Unwanted light from the laser can be prevented. Or the equipment we use, such as laser shields to block reflected light or direct beams that might come out.

3. Wear laser safety glasses with the corresponding protective band every time you work or enter an area where lasers are used.
