Laser Protective Panels are of great significance in ensuring personal safety and normal operation of equipment. By using laser protective panels, you can effectively prevent laser damage to human eyes and skin, reduce the risk of equipment failure and damage, and improve work efficiency and safety. At the same time, complying with relevant laws and regulations and using qualified laser protective panels are also the social responsibilities of enterprises and individuals.

Laser protective glass is an efficient and safe absorptive laser protective panel (window) composed of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) and light-absorbing materials of specific wavelengths. It has no selectivity to the light source and can safely protect all kinds of diffuse reflected light; it has no selectivity to the incident angle of the light source and can fully protect lasers and strong light in specific wavebands. It has a fast light response and a high attenuation rate.

Currently, there are two types of materials for laser protective boards to choose from, PMMA board and PC board.

Acrylic PMMA board
Advantages: High visible light transmittance, easy for naked eye observation, protection level (optical density) is above average, most are OD4+, conventional maximum sizes are 1000*1280 and 1005*1350, service life is generally 2-3 years.
Disadvantages: It does not have explosion-proof or flame-retardant effects, is brittle, is not resistant to bending, and has poor bending strength.

Polycarbonate PC board
Advantages: It is a comprehensive and excellent amorphous thermoplastic resin with excellent electrical insulation, extensibility, dimensional stability and chemical corrosion resistance, high strength, heat resistance and cold resistance: it also has self-extinguishing, Flame retardant, explosion-proof and other characteristics, can not be smashed by hammer, high protection level, most of them are OD5+, OD6+, OD7+, the conventional maximum size is 1220*1820 and 1220*2440, the service life is generally more than 5 years.
Disadvantages: Visible light transmittance is relatively average.

1. Application classification of laser protective panels
According to different application scenarios and protection needs, laser protective panels can be divided into the following categories:
Fixed laser protective board: mainly used for safety protection of fixed equipment or places, such as laboratories, factories, etc.
Mobile laser protective board: suitable for safety protection that requires moving locations, such as construction sites, temporary work areas, etc.
Handheld laser protective plate: easy to carry and use by individuals, suitable for home, outdoor and other scenes.

2. Parameter details of laser protective plate
The parameters of laser protective panels mainly include the following aspects:
Wavelength range: Laser of different wavelengths has different degrees of harm to human eyes and equipment. Therefore, laser protective panels need to protect lasers of different wavelengths. Common wavelength ranges include UV (ultraviolet), visible light, near-infrared, etc.
Protection level: The protection level of laser protective panels is usually represented by "P", such as P10, P50, etc. The higher the protection level, the stronger the protection ability against laser.
Light transmittance: The light transmittance of the laser protective plate refers to the energy loss of light after passing through the protective plate. The higher the light transmittance, the better the transparency of the protective board.
Specifications and dimensions: The specifications and dimensions of the laser protective plate need to be selected according to the actual application scenario and equipment size.

3. Application scope of laser protective plate
Laser protective panels are widely used in the following fields:
Medical field: used in operating rooms, laboratories and other places to protect medical staff and patients from laser damage.
Industrial field: used in production lines, laboratories and other places to protect employees and equipment from laser damage.
Military field: used in military exercises, weapons and equipment and other fields to protect soldiers and equipment from laser damage.
Security field: used for surveillance cameras, access control systems and other equipment to prevent laser interference and damage.

4. Performance characteristics of laser protective panels
High light transmittance: The laser protective plate is made of special optical materials and has high light transmittance, which will not affect normal observation and operation.
Strong laser resistance: The laser protective plate can effectively absorb and scatter laser energy, reducing the harm of laser to the human body and equipment.
Lightweight and easy to carry: Some laser shields are made of lightweight materials, making them easy to carry and use.
Strong weather resistance: The laser protective plate has good weather resistance and is suitable for various harsh environments.
